hush amidst the ivory ruin.

i peel from the sun and stars,
slip in the hollow of that
sad orbit, wondering
how i have fallen far enough
to be here-
                   i don't belong here
our worlds
have ceased to form, and
are nothing more than
abortions of mind:
tiny hands still clutching
for lack of air
as we are
suspended here,
                   helpless
and it's the final seconds
after the sun goes down
on the barren wastes of vigrond
in the ruins of ivory halls
where we tread the embers of
those war-torn lands
and our blood trails stain
the ground; as time
                   stands stil
